Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin is an oriental-inspired spirit from The Shed Distillery in Co Leitrim that's setting the world alight. Taking its name from one of the signature botanicals, slowly dried Gunpowder tea, the recipe also includes lime, lemon and grapefruit. This will work best with a Mediterranean tonic water.

Named for the gunpowder tea that's part of the botanical mix, this bone-dry gin offers juniper, anise, caraway and lime peel on the nose. The palate opens with grapefruit, finishing long and astringent on pink peppercorn, caraway and a flicker of alcohol heat. Mix into martinis.
