Vinous 90 points - Brilliant ruby. High-pitched aromas of black raspberry, fresh flowers and white pepper. Seamless and focused in the mouth, offering lively, spice-accented red berry, cherry and spicecake flavors that stretch out slowly with air. Shows the energy of the vintage, finishing with strong cut and spiciness and supple tannins that emerge slowly.
Wine Advocate 87 points - Always a solid effort, the 2012 Crozes Hermitage Petite Ruche has plenty of peppery spice, raspberry and black cherry fruit in its supple, straightforward, yet delicious personality. It’s ready to go now and should be consumed over the coming 3-4 years. (Dec 2014)
The vineyards of Crozes-Hermitage surround the great Hermitage Hill. Sometimes called a "down-sized Hermitage" La Petite Ruche is all freshness and easy enjoyment from younger vines.
