The result is a ruby red wine with a rich bouquet, lively mouth-feel, and lingering flavors of red and black berries with undertones of black pepper, clove and vanilla, and a velvet texture throughout. Elegantly structured and complex, this wine is excellent with grilled or roasted red meats.
According to Franz Kafka, "there is a point of no return, and that is the point that must be reached."
Punto Final represents that point. Punto Final Malbec is the true expression of the potencial of
Mendoza's terroir and represents a blend of Malbecs from different regions, altitudes and climates.
The result is a wine that reflects the full potential of a region, thus incorporating the best of each
unique terroir.
| Wine maker notes |
| The Malbec grapes are sourced from two mountain vineyards, both planted more than 50 years ago. The grapes are hand-harvested into small lugs, hand-sorted, crushed and cold-macerated at the winery for 4 days. The wine is then fermented at controlled temperatures with native yeasts in stainless steel for 15 days and inoculated with the winery’s own malolactic organisms. After this it is aged for 8 months, partly in French barriques, partly in stainless steel. |
