The barrels chosen for single barrel come from the uppermost floors of the Barrelhouses that dot the hills surrounding the distillery. The extremes in temperature these floors experience during the year result in barrels which yield whiskey of uncommon smoothness, aroma and flavor with notes of vanilla, toasted oak and caramel.
Wine Enthusiast 94 points - At first, this whiskey is easy to underestimate, since the amber color and mild toffee aroma give little away. But one sip, and it is clear this whiskey means business: Deep vanilla cookie and cigar tobacco flavors unfold to a big, burnt-caramel finish, which washes over the palate like a rolling wave. Manhattan-worthy. - K.N. (Mar 2011)
This whiskey is finely crafted from a single barrel which has been individually hand-selected by our master tasters and in turn chosen by John Little & his staff at Little Bros Beverage Outlet in NJ.
|Once chosen the whiskey is bottled a single barrel at a time, never mixing it with whiskey from other barrels. Rick No. L-19 (which level of the barrel warehouse where it came from)
